Skill Software GmbH is a German micro company (8 employees) that has been active on the market since 1991. The company specializes in the construction sector and offers services that increase efficiency and reduce costs for construction companies. In their portfolio, they offer several different service packages that include Customer Relations Management (CRM) technology, BauDoc software, EnergyDoc software, TechDoc platform and PropertyDoc tool. The CRM technologies allow the company to build a customer base, facilitate communication with customers, monitor their sales activities, etc. On the other hand, the BauDoc software enables more efficient management of construction diaries, monitoring of workflows and updating of arrivals/departures of construction inspections in the field. In addition, the EnergyDoc software can be used to monitor electricity consumption in buildings as well as to create energy performance certificates, while the TechDoc platform is used for technical drawings, schematics, different types of materials, etc. Finally, the PropertyDoc tool enables the coordinated use of all the aforementioned tools via a common interface.
In order to achieve the described level of digital innovation, the company participated in various grants from the state of Hesse, regional EU funds and the 'KMU Innovativ' program of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. The example of Skill Software GmbH shows how important it is to make use of the various programs at regional, national and international level.
